Property Update for the week ending Sunday 12 October

This past week has again seen another round of upheaval and turmoil on the international money markets. However, this time it came out of Europe, and Britains proposal to prop up its own financial institutions. And possibly like a lot of our subscribers, we here at JVL have been watching these developments closely. Interestingly, it appears most of the damage done to date has been to confidence - and in some regards rightly so.

Confidence ‘per se’ in such a context as the financial market and/or the real estate market is a particularly difficult variable to truly understand, but nevertheless cannot be underestimated in its ability to influence and even drive a market such as ours. As such, what may or may not occur in the weeks and months ahead is anyone’s guess.
